Abbaslik village, the study area, is within 5 km of the province center within the boundaries of Bilecik province. The land in the Mediterranean region in terms of plant geography is entering the A2 area according to Davis' squaring system. The research area reaches up to 1243 meters in height on Kapaklı hill, which starts from 500 meters and is located to the south. Flora determination studies were carried out between the years of 2015-2016 and 1276 specimens were collected from the region and these samples were pressed and dried according to herbarium techniques. In the samples collected, a total of 650 taxa of 75 families, 341 genera, 644 species, 4 subspecies and 2 varieties were detected.
The phytogeographical distribution of the species determined as the result of the study is 16.77 % for the Mediterranean element, 12.62 % for the Euro-Siberian element and 8.15% for the Irano-Turanian element. 62.46 % is composed of samples which are very regional and phytogeographic region is not known exactly.
The 48 of them are endemic and 7.38 % of the number is total number of taxa. The 18 new species have been recorded for A2 squares from the research area.
The study also investigated the ethnobotanical characteristics of the Abbaslik village and communicated with the local people and collected information about the characteristics of the plants with local use.
