Erken Evliliği Deneyimleyen Kadınların Evliliğe İlişkin Düşüncelerinin Sosyo-Kültürel Temeli: Ardahan Örneği

Abstract

Taking gender roles into accounts with in a society, early marriage problem is the problem in which gender inequality as well as the inferior status of women have been reinforced by the society. Therefore, this master thesis focused on early marriage problem. The main aim of this research is to questioning what opinions are being hold about marriage and how gender roles are transferred by the women who are experienced early marriage. There was put a stress on the socio-cultural structure and its changes. Research data was collected from 10 women by conducting semi-structured interview. According to results, it was found a significant role of culture in early marriage as well as achievement an awareness against early marriage. Regarding women gender roles in society, it was seen in the current study that education and employment have become important among women.
