İç Mimarlık Eğitiminde Sosyal Sorumlu Tasarım: Müfredat İçin Öneriler
Özet
This thesis is concerned with the social responsibility dimension of the design discipline and focuses on the question of how socially responsible design approaches can be addressed in interior design education. The thesis analyses socially responsible design approaches in the literature and develops proposals and course models to integrate these approaches into the curriculum. The aim is to present a new perspective for interior design education. In this direction, the study is discussed in four sections.
In the first part of the study, a conceptual framework was established by detailing the historical, environmental and social dimensions of socially responsible design approaches. In the second part, bibliometric analyses of socially responsible design approaches were carried out and, in the light of these analyses, prominent themes and trends in the literature and aspects of these approaches that can contribute to interior design education were identified. In the third part, curriculum recommendations for integrating socially responsible approaches into interior design education are presented and a course model is developed to provide an integrative framework for course content.
As a result, it is emphasised that the social responsibility capacity of the design discipline can be effectively used in interior design education. For future studies, it is recommended to test socially responsible design approaches in wider application areas and to develop experimental educational models to increase students' social sensitivity.
