The main purpose of this research is to develop a scale that measures adolescents' awareness of online sexual abuse in a valid and reliable way. The study was conducted with the participation of 688 students between the ages of 13-18. Expert opinion, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, criterion validity, convergent validity and discriminant validity analyses were conducted to determine the validity of the scale. As a result of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, it was determined that the Online Sexual Abuse Awareness Scale consisted of 18 items and 3 dimensions. For reliability measurements, composite reliability values, internal consistency coefficients and test-retest correlations were examined. It was determined that the entire scale had excellent internal consistency (ω= .88; α = .92). The data obtained from the validity and reliability analyses show that the Online Sexual Abuse Awareness Scale provides valid and reliable measurements for adolescents aged 13-18. In addition, when the adolescents' awareness of online sexual abuse was examined in terms of sociodemographic characteristics, a significant relationship was determined between their good relationship with their mothers and their awareness of online sexual abuse. However, no significant difference was found between the adolescents' awareness of online sexual abuse and age, gender, daily internet usage, taking safe internet training, the working life, the education level and marriage situation of the parents and the quality of the father-child relationship. The research findings were discussed in the light of the relevant literature and recommendations were made for researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.
