This study aimed to develop the Adlerian-Dreikurs Approach Based Parenting Psychoeducation Program (ADABPPP) for parents of primary school-aged children and to examine its impact on parents’ positive discipline. Additionally, the study involved the development of the Positive Discipline Parent Scale (PDPS). A mixed-methods research design, specifically an exploratory sequential design, was employed. The first phase explored parents’ experiences with positive discipline, while the second phase focused on developing PDPS based on the findings. In the final phase, ADABPPP was designed and evaluated using a pre-test-post-test control group design, with a follow-up test conducted one month later. The experimental group participated in eight sessions, each lasting 90–120 minutes, whereas no intervention was applied to the control group. Data were collected through the Semi-Structured Parent Interview Form, PDPS, and Self-Assessment Form. Findings from the qualitative phase highlighted key positive discipline strategies, including encouragement, positive modeling, family meetings, and natural and logical consequences. Psychometric properties of PDPS were established, confirming its validity and reliability. The experimental results indicated that ADABPPP effectively enhanced parents’ positive discipline practices. The study’s findings were discussed in relation to existing literature, and recommendations for future research and practice were provided.
