The aim of this research is to identify the needs of disabled and asylum-seeking women and their
experiences of accessing social services. For this purpose, the subjects were reached through qualitative
research method and purposive sampling. The subjects of the research are disabled and asylum-seeking
women over the age of 18 living in Izmir. The research is based on anti-oppressive social work theory. In depth interviews were conducted with 22 subjects with different demographic characteristics. The data
obtained were analyzed using MAXQDA qualitative data analysis program and thematic analysis was used.
The findings of the research are presented under two themes: "Disabled and Asylum Seeking Women's
Needs for Services" and "Experiences of Responding to the Needs of Disabled and Asylum Seeking
Women". In this context, it is concluded that disabled and asylum-seeking women experience difficulties
with issues such as language barriers, structural inequalities, physical accessibility, and may face
bureaucratic problems in terms of livelihoods and support from public institutions. Suggestions were made
to improve the current services, to include disabled asylum-seeking women and to create new service
models specific to them
