The economic growth caused by globalization leads to human migration and the grouping of people from
different languages and cultures, making multilingualism an inevitable phenomenon. In this context, the
translation of multilingual audiovisual products, and consequently, the fields of dubbing and subtitle
translation have begun to diversify and expand. Additionally, the translation of multilingual products in
audiovisual media holds a central position in bringing together and teaching different languages, cultures,
values, and lifestyles. These products are the result of a dynamic movement that reveals different and new
approaches, preferences and creativity of translators in the context of audiovisual translation. In addition,
shooting co-financed productions in more than one country allows the product to reach a wider audience
and positively affects the companies' profits. Companies operate with this awareness and broadcast such
programs and series. In light of all this, this study aims to analyze the English (original version), French
and Turkish dubbing and subtitles of Emily in Paris, a multilingual American comedy series broadcast on
Netflix, in the context of the translation of multilingual audiovisual products. Examples from the first,
second, and third seasons of the series will be analysed in this study. These examples have been selected
based on multilingual contexts that present translation challenges, requiring the translator to adopt
multilingual audiovisual communication mechanisms and strategies. In the analysis section of the study,
the translation strategies used by the translator will be examined from a theoretical framework, focusing on
how well multilingualism is preserved, how consistent the translations are with the original version, and
the translator's choices. Finally, in the conclusion section, the necessary competencies of translators in
multilingual audiovisual translation and the key aspects they should consider will be discussed.
