Yetişkinlerin Serbest Zaman Katılımı : Ölçek Geliştirme Çalışması
Özet
Participation in leisure activities is a basic human and occupational right throughout people’s lives, especially during adulthood. The study was planned as an exploratory sequential mixed method. A total of 28 semi-structured interviews were conducted with adults age between 25-50 for the exploratory qualitative research. The obtained data were analyzed using the interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) approach. As a result of the analysis, six main themes and twenty-two sub-themes emerged: The meaning of leisure, recovery after work, facilitators and barriers, well-being, occupational injustice, and the flow of life. An item pool was prepared in order to develop a scale based on these qualitative data. 13 expert opinions were consulted for the items using the Lawsche technique. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis techniques were used to examine the construct validity of the scale. The content validity index of the scale was found to be 0.934. As a result of the factor analysis, it was seen that the scale consisting of 27 items showed a 4-factor structure explaining 53,72% of the total variance. In the confirmatory factor analysis, the model fit indices of the structure created with the factor combination technique were calculated as RMSEA=0,061; GFI=0,885; AGFI=0,85; NNFI=0,895;
CFI=0,906; NFI=0,865; IFI=0,907 ve CMIN/df=2,91. When the model fit indices were taken into consideration, it was determined that the measurement model was appropriate. In the reliability analysis of the scale, Cronbach alpha=0.934 was found for the scale. As a result, the validity of a 27-item scale structure consisting of four dimensions was confirmed. It can be said that the scale meets the necessary criteria to examine the leisure time participation level of working adults between the ages of 18-65 and its psychometric properties are sufficient.
