Okul Öncesi Dönem Çocuklarının Duygu Düzenleme Becerileri, Duygusal Zeka ve Psikolojik Sağlamlık Düzeyleri ile Davranış Problemleri Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

The aim of the research was to examine the relationship between
emotion regulation skills, emotional intelligence, psychological resilience levels, and
behavioral problems in preschool children. The population of the research was
composed of 4812 children in the 3-6 age group attending independent kindergartens
and kindergartens of primary schools affiliated to the Istanbul Sultangazi District
Directorate of National Education in the 2023-2024 academic year and their teachers.
The sample group of the research consisted of 407 children (225 boys and 182 girls)
and their teachers (47 teachers), with a margin of error of 5%. Research data were
obtained using the Information Form, Conners Teacher Rating Scale-Revised Short
Form, Emotion Regulation Scale, Sullivan Children's Emotional Intelligence
Assessment Scale for Teachers, Social Emotional Well-Being and Psychological
Resilience Scale for Preschool Children (PERIK). Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Independent
sample T Test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Pearson Correlation
Coefficient and Multiple Regression were used in the analysis of the data. As a result
of the research, there were statistically significant differences between preschool
children's emotional intelligence, emotional regulation skills, psychological resilience
and behavioral problems and many of the variables determined within the scope of the
research, and it has been determined that there is a significant relationship between
preschool children's emotional intelligence, emotional regulation skills, psychological
resilience and behavioral problems. Finally, emotional intelligence, emotion
regulation and psychological resilience scales appear to have a statistically significant
effect in predicting behavior problem scores. In this context, the research findings were
interpreted by examining the relevant literature and suggestions were made.
