Fabric phase absorbent extraction (FPSE) is a sample preparation technique that has come to the fore in recent years. Microextraction devices prepared by coating a fabric surface with different sorbents enable the analysis of the target molecule from different environments with high recovery and in a simple way. Although the use of FPSE in pharmaceutical analysis applications is known, in this thesis study, two unique applications were carried out with FPSE for two active pharmaceutical ingredients. In the first of these applications, FPSE targeted the gel formulation, not the Tazarotene molecule, contrary to known applications in the analysis of the Tazarotene molecule from the gel formulation, and ensured the release of the target molecule by keeping the media components in the solution prepared before injection with high selectivity. Thus, it has replaced complex and multi-step gel formulation extraction techniques. Tazarotene could be analyzed from the commercial gel formulation by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In the second one, the analysis of the Levofloxacin molecule, which was selected as a model molecule, from blood plasma was used to reveal the pharmacokinetic profile. Statistically similar results were obtained with the method of analysis of the active substance from blood plasma after precipitation of the currently used proteins. Mass spectrometry (LC-MS) combined with HPLC was used for analyses. In pharmacokinetic studies, FPSE was not only a simple extraction method with few steps, but also served as a multi-purpose microextraction device that allowed sample storage and transfer. As a result of this thesis study, two different approaches to the use of FPSE for different purposes, unlike the known microextraction applications, have been presented in the literature and the success of the relevant approaches has been proven with the developed analytical methods.
