Fransa'daki İki Dilli Türk Çocukların Türkçe Öğretimine İlişkin Öğrenci, Veli Görüşleri
Özet
The teaching of their native language to Turkish expatriates living in France has great significance. This thesis will analyze Turkish-French bilingual students’ and parents’ opinion about the learning of their native language, that is Turkish. Turkish people who live abroad learn both the language of their native land and the language of the country in which they live. Thus, they are considered bilingual. However, this situation creates problems in the acquisition of their native language, especially for children of the third and forth generation. For this purpose, this research will follow the method of a semi-structured interview form which is a a type of qualitative research. To carry out this reseach, the questions of the semi-structured interview form were prepared in order to be asked to data subjects during the interview. The resulting interview was carried out with the participation of Turkish children and parents who live in various French cities and who attended Turkish classes during the 2022-2023 school year. By looking at the data obtained through the analysis, we will see that bilingual students who live in France have difficulties in using the Turkish language, as well as difficulties related to language in the application of different skills. At the end of the research, parents’ opinion about the learning of the Turkish language by bilingual Turkish children living in France will be presented, and possible solutions to the difficulties experienced by Turkish children while using their native language will be suggested.
