The aim of this research was to examine the moderating role of fat talk in the relationship between media attitude and body dissatisfaction in female athletes. A total of 297 female athletes, active in team sports or individual sports, have participated in competitions for at least two years. In order to collect research data, participants were applied to Fat Talk Questionnaire, Body Dissatisfaction Questionnaire and Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire-4-Revised. The data were analyzed using SPSS 27 and Lisrel. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used as the normality test in the study, since the sample size would be large. In addition, in the decision process regarding the distribution of data, skewness and kurtosis values were also used. In order to determine the relationship of the variables to each other in the process of data analysis, Pearson correlation analysis was first carried out and DFA analysis was carried out to determine the validity of the measurement tools in our research. Process macro analysis was conducted to test the moderating role of fat talk in the relationship between media attitude and body dissatisfaction. As a result, in this study, it was found that the moderating role of fat talk variable increased the effect of media attitude on body dissatisfaction, and the moderating effect of media attitude on the relationship between media attitude and body dissatisfaction was statistically significant in conditions where fat talk was at low and moderate levels. As a result, in this study, it was seen that the moderator role of the fat talk variable and the effect of media attitude on body dissatisfaction increased, and the moderator effect of fat talk on the relationship between media attitude and body dissatisfaction was statistically significant in low and moderate conditions.
