Abstract

The formation of clay and the historical process of ceramic slip are mentioned in the first part of the artwork report in which several implementations were completed by researching the clay fields local to Avanos region. Based on the designated areas, samples were taken from chosen parts of clay fields. Their usability in the production of ceramic slip was researched. The result of the XRF analysis report is presented together with the ceramic lining preparation process and the lining trials visuals. International ceramic artists who often practice ceramic slip in their artwork and their outstanding pieces have been mentioned in the second part. It is known that Cappadocia has a unique structure by its nature. In the third part, It was observed that natural disasters and human activities had caused a variety of damage to the constructions in the region. Affected by such negative actions, authentic studies have been completed. Ceramic slips prepared with the clay taken from the area have been used and experienced in the studies.
