The relationship between Turkish and Persian speaking communities for centuries has a very important effect on the cultural, social and linguistic developments between these communities. Kashkay is a Turkish language spoken in large cities, towns and villages in the center and south of Iran. Kashkay Turkish, which is not a written language, preserves some sounds, words and morphemes in Old Turkish. However, as a result of long-term contacts with non-Turkish-speaking communities in its geography and due to the language policy in Iran, its usage area is narrowing day by day. Many units copied from Persian cause different linguistic changes in Kashkay Turkish.
Due to different social reasons, it is seen that the level of influence of the speech of the five big groups from Persian is at different levels according to the structure of the Old Kashkay Province, and it shows linguistic diversity. The data used in this study were evaluated considering both social and structural features. The intense influence of Persian on Kashkay is discussed from both social and structural perspectives. Structural features of Persian-Kashkay language relations were examined according to Lars Johanson's code copying model. Due to social and political reasons, it has been determined that Kashkay language is intensively influenced by Persian and causes language copying at different language levels.
