The aim of this research is to reveal the views of the parents of bilingual Turkish children living in Austria on the "Turkish Mother Tongue" course. The interview method was used in the research, which is a qualitative study. The study group of the research consists of the parents of 20 German-Turkish bilingual students who attended the "Turkish Mother Tongue" course in the 2022-2023 academic year in Vienna, Austria. In order to obtain in-depth information in line with the purpose of the research, a semi-structured interview form was prepared and the questions in this form were directed to the parents. With the permission of the parents, the interviews were recorded with a voice recorder. Then the audio recordings were transcribed. Content analysis method, one of the analysis methods of qualitative data, was used in the research. In the content analysis, the order of coding the data, finding the categories, finding the subcategories, and then interpreting the findings was followed. Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were reached: According to the parents, the most common problems that their children encounter in Turkish in Austria are not speaking standard Turkish, using the words in the sentence half in Turkish and half in German, lack of Turkish vocabulary and misuse of Turkish. Three- quarters of the parents participating in the research find the Turkish Mother Tongue course taught in schools in Austria necessary and important and support their children to take this course. The reasons why parents want to take this course for their children is that their children improve their Turkish, speak Turkish better and learn Turkish culture. After their children took the Turkish Mother Tongue lesson, parents mostly observed improvements in their children such as expressing themselves better, communicating better with family members and relatives, learning German more easily, and gaining self-confidence. Parents argue that their children who take Turkish mother tongue lessons improve their German. The course hours of the Turkish Mother Tongue lesson were found to be insufficient by almost all of the parents who participated in the research. Parents expect the teachers who teach Turkish as mother tongue to build a bridge between themselves and the school administration, to make the children love the lesson and to speak Turkish well. The parents mentioned that they mostly make their children take Turkish lessons so that they can learn Turkish and Turkish culture, that they take their children to Turkey on holidays, that they take them on tours to different cities in Turkey, that they have their children read Turkish books and that they speak Turkish with their children. Based on the findings of the study, some suggestions were made.
