İnsan Hakları Perspektifinden Hayvan Hakları Sorunu ve Ekonomik Engeller
Özet
The philosopher Jeremy Bentham was the first to argue that animals have the capacity for pain and pleasure in philosophical theory and that this capacity should be accepted as a starting point for them to have an interest. Although Bentham's opinion is important in terms of animal rights, contrary to this opinion, the interests of billions of animals in the world continue to be ignored. But the ignorance of these interests and the pressure on animals has increased as the profit motive of capitalism expands industrial livestock practices. The oppression of humans and animals is mostly similar. Just like the oppression applied to animals, the oppression applied to humans is the result of the same economic, social and political processes. In this respect, it is important to equally respect the interests of animals comparable to humans. The distinction between species is similar to discrimination and racism among humans. Economic obstacles are an important problem both in terms of human rights and animal rights. Economic obstacles prevent interests from being given equal consideration. Developing capitalism not only increased inequality between people but also caused more suffering to animals.
