Yeni Şark Gazetesi (İnceleme ve Seçilmiş Metinler)

Abstract

In the thesis entitled Yeni Şark Newpaper (Examining and Selected Texts), it is aimed to reveal the relation between periodicals and literature in line with the news, articles, literary texts and advertisements published in political, social life, education, economy, history, sports, health, women, art and literature in the field of Turkish intellectual life, cultur and art-literature and its role in the field of ideas in the period of national struggle. For this purpose, the method of inductive was used to scan the newspaper, create an index, and result based on tables created after studying and classifying the detected texts. After the introduction part, which establishes the history of the press of the national struggle period, the identity information, basic page structure, content and publication line of Yeni Şark is given. The literary activity section examined the identified texts. The second, third and fourth parts of the thesis are indexed by the chronological, genre and author name of the newspaper. A selection of texts was detected in the fifth part entitled selected texts, which revealed the quality of the authors and content of the Yeni Şark newspaper. In the conclusion part, it was determined that Yeni Şark has the quality of news and articles published and opinion newspaper, and that he has made contributions to Turkish literature and literary history with his fictional texts and author staff. In addition to the place and identity of Yeni Şark in the history of the press, the relation between periodicals and literature was also revealed.
