Kervansarayların Yeniden İşlevlendirilmesinde Azerbaycan Örneklerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Spatial characteristics of caravanserais have changed and developed depending on social developments from past to present. The characteristics of this change will be explored through a detailed literature review. The definition, development, types and benefits of the concept of re-functioning will be examined. Along with these, the "robustness, function and aesthetics" partition, which is an important part of the analysis, which Vitruvius determined as the basic features of the structure, will be examined in detail. Within the scope of this review, the determination of the carrier systems on the space, functional requirements and the contribution of the formal elements to the space will be investigated. . After focusing on the factors affecting space shaping, the whole review will be presented on a case study. This case study will be carried out through the Kervansaray complex located in Sheki of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the end of the study, the data to be obtained from the literature review and sample analysis will be evaluated together, and the situation regarding the reconstruction of the caravanserais will be made.
