Hastane Çalışanları Arasında Sağlık Sorunları Nedeniyle Yaşanan İşte Var Olamama ve İşe Devamsızlık Davranışı İle Maliyetini Etkileyen Faktörlerin İncelenmesi
Abstract
Presenteeism states that although employees have various health problems, they are physically present in the workplace but not mentally present while absenteeism occurs when employees do not go to work. This study was executed on physicians, nurses-midwives, allied health personnel and administrative staff working in two different hospital. employees have experienced productivity loss mostly due to chronic fatigue or low energy (2,82 hours), 19,94 hours per employee due to all health conditions in the last two weeks. Besides, it was absent from on average 0,91 days per employee due to health reasons (0,29+0,14 days) and other non-health reasons (0,29+0,19 days) in the last two weeks. It was determined that cost burden of presenteeism in the last two weeks (296,95TL) is about more than six times both sickness absenteeism (48,01TL) and non-sickness absenteeism (50,84TL). Cost of presenteeism is more than three times total cost of absenteeism.
