Abstract

The concept of shelter has always been a crucial subject matter for human beings that is intended to be improved. Caves, tree cavities and structures like tents which had been previously used for protection from severe weather conditions and wild animals have evolved within time and gave birth to the rise of buildings. However, owing to the Industrial Revolution and the developments in technology, the need for a shelter went beyond housing. Due to the expansion in the business areas, shelters have been used as offices. These developments resulted in the increase in demand for interior space, and together with the rising number of employees, caused inefficient use of interior spaces. Thus, this problem has led to a decline in overall work performance, urging people to seek solution. As a result, multiple types of offices have come about.
