Düşük Molekül Ağırlıklı Heparin Takılı Phema Kriyojel İle Kandan Kolesterol Uzaklaştırılması
Özet
Hypercholesterolemia is characterized by high blood low density lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol levels and is a risk factor for atherosclerosis disease directly. To control or to reduce the level of cholesterol if high, there are four main approaches. First of all approaches is diet. The second approach is drug treatment. The third approach is an extracorporeal system for removal of cholesterol from blood plasma. For quite advance stages of disease final solution is surgical procedure (bypass, etc.). Extracorporeal LDL removal treatment based on bioaffinity draws much attention in recent years. In this thesis, LDL was removed by heparin affinity chromatography. Poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) cryogel which is one of the new generation polymeric systems was prepared as the polymer support and low molecular weight heparin, which has a high affinity for cholesterol was chosen as the ligand.
