| dc.description.abstract | Kutanöz Leishmaniasis (CL) caused by Leishmania infantum, is highly endemic in Adana, which is one of the most important provinces in Cukurova Plain. Phlebotomus tobbi (Adler and Theodor, 1930), the dominant species, is the proven vector of Leishmania infantum/donovani in this region. It is known that, Phlebotomus perfiliewi s.l. (Parrot, 1930), the other abundant species in the region, is also the proven vector of L. infantum in neighbouring countries of Turkey. Recently, a rapid increase in the number of KL cases reported from the region was observed. Furthermore, there are many reports on the emergence of new Leishmania species came from Cukurova Region.The aim of this study is to evaluate the spatial, temporal and climatic differences of the data obtained from sand fly fauna research studies, conducted in Adana province, in 2006, 2011 and 2012. | tr_TR |

| dc.description.ozet | Leishmania infantum’un etken olduğu Kutanöz Leishmaniasis (KL), Çukurova Havzasının en önemli illerinden biri olan Adana’da, yüksek oranda endemik olan vektör kaynaklı bir hastalıktır. Leishmania infantum/donovani Adana ili için kanıtlanmış vektörü olan Phlebotomus tobbi (Adler and Theodor, 1930), aynı zamanda bölgenin dominant türü olarak görülmektedir. Bölgede yüksek oranda görülen bir diğer tür ise, Phlebotomus perfiliewi s.l. (Parrot, 1930)’dir. Bu türün, Türkiye ile komşu olan ülkelerde L. infantum parazitinin vektörlüğünü yaptığı bilinmektedir. Yakın zamanda, bölge genelinden bildirilen KL vaka sayılarında, yüksek oranda artış görüldüğü ve Çukurova Bölgesinde, yeni leishmaniasis etkenlerinin saptandığı bildirilmiştir.Bu çalışma kapsamında, 2006, 2011 ve 2012 yıllarında, Adana ilinde yürütülen kum sineği faunası çalışmalarından elde edilen veriler, mekansal, zamansal ve iklimsel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. | tr_TR |
