The main objective of this research is to make a study to describe the relationship between
the structures of Industry 4.0 and the human behaviors by associating the Parasuraman's
Technological Acceptance Model and Davis's Technology Readiness Index. Considering
the historical course of industrial and technological revolutions, the concept of Industry 4.0
was discussed and the Internet of objects, cyber-physical system, big data and data
analytics, cloud systems, 3D printers, cyber security and smart factories used as important
components for the success of the fourth industrial revolution brief information is given. In
addition, a literature review was conducted to understand the current situation of the
literature on Industry 4.0. The results of the research showed that the interest of both the
business world and related literature on the concept of Industry 4.0 has increased.
However, there are very few studies examining the behavioral dimension of Industry 4.0.
In the continuation of the literature review, studies using the Technology Readiness Index
and Technology Acceptance Model were examined and found to be suitable models for
use in this research. In the analysis, the direct and mediator effects of these components
were measured in terms of their ability to measure Industry 4.0 components. As a result of
the research, it was seen that Technology Readiness Index affects Industry 4.0
components as a whole both directly and as a mediating variable on perceived ease of use.
In the continuation of the study, the direct and mediator effects of the individual components
were measured and it was found that the dimensions except the insecurity of the
Technology Readiness Index were higher than the perceived benefit against the
components of Industry 4.0 however, the perceived ease of use of the components is
perceived to be higher, which in turn increases the perceived benefits of the mediator
variable.. Considering the limitations of the study, it is thought that it may guide future
research. It is also thought to be useful for executives in the real sector to motivate their
employees and place them in appropriate positions.
