In this study, it is aimed to examine how to design a web-based dynamic assessment system for the mathematics learning of secondary school students and the effectiveness of the developed system. In line with this aim, an educational environment has been prepared in which 5th grade students can test themselves independently of time and space through internet technologies aimed at learning mathematics subjects. Along with the dynamic assessment algorithm developed within the scope of the research, a web based environment has been developed which combines the principles of dynamic assessment and gamification. In addition, the effectiveness of the environment was tested with an experimental study. The experimental study was conducted with 558 middle school students. In addition, focus group interviews were conducted with 12 students using the system. According to the findings, the interaction status of the secondary school students with the system, the effectiveness of the system, the instructional prompt and lag sequential analyzes revealed that the students using the web-based dynamic assessment system compared to the web-based static assessment system performed consistent learning and showed learning performance, without any help, from a certain point and more effective learning and assessment experiences. It was stated that the students were directed to the correct solution by the system while solving the questions they did not know, the instructional orientations were very helpful for the solution, the visual elements (monkey, robot and banana) found in the system were interesting, fun, beautiful and they wanted to use this system in other courses.
