Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğretiminde Metin Seçimi: Yeni Hitit B1 Düzeyi

Abstract

[ÖZCAN, Ekin]. [The Selection of Texts in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language: Yeni Hitit B1], Master’s Thesis, Ankara, [2019]. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the reading skills of the book Yeni Hitit 2 used for teaching Turkish to foreigners.In order to make this assessment, firstly “the control list for evaluating reading units/activities” is prepared.In this regard, the chapters of Yeni Hitit 2 related to reading skills are examined through the items in the control list that prepared, the observations made in the relevant section and the numerical inputs obtained.The outcomes of these results show thaat while informative texts in Yeni Hitit 2 are mostly used as a text style, other text types are not sufficiently involved. The subjects of the text are partly suited to real-life situations. Texts are legible for the target group.It is thought that the texts should be developed in terms of content and presentation style.
