The position of regent did not exist in each Turkish-Islamic State. In addition, the influence and the position of it were not the same in each state. The sultanate regents who were appointed to the center had more impact on the government due to being close to the sultanate than those that were appointed to the provinces. While also being the subject of our study, the sultanate regents of the Mamluk, Delhi Sultanate and Turkish Seljuk State were competent in terms of military as well as administration. The sultanate regents that had these skills in military and politics played a significant role on helping the people whom they served to become rulers. Some of them even reached the position of sultan. In this study, we discussed the impact of the aforementioned sultanate regents on the government in the political framework by giving examples from these three states independently. Furthermore, we tried to reach to a conclusion by evaluating the similarities and the differences of the position and impact of the sultanate regents comparatively.
