Studies aimed at understanding children with destructive behaviors in primary school age are rare in our country and other countries. Although the solution-oriented approach in postmodern approaches has started to be popular in recent years, researches based mostly on individual studies are conducted and it is seen that group-based research is low. Considering that this approach targets positive changes in a short period of time, it can be beneficial to use it in school environment when it is thought that it reaches a large number of individuals in a short time. Disruptive behaviors (attention deficit hyperactivity, behavior problem and oppositional opposing behavior) of social work intervention in schools, especially in primary school age, with solution-oriented groups, which have become more preferred in recent years and are gaining more place among social work intervention approaches. The aim of this study is to examine whether it is effective. In this study, one group pre-test and post-test design was used, where mixed method was used for this purpose. The data obtained after 6 weeks of group work were obtained by using quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Findings showed that school social work intervention with solution-oriented group was effective on primary school students who showed disruptive behavior. It is thought that this study will contribute to the development of the application field of school social work in our country, which can not employ school social workers yet, and help them to develop perspectives for solution rather than problem.
