Çevre Eğitiminde Ağ Araştırması Kullanımının Öğrencilerin Başarısı Üzerindeki Etkisi
Abstract
The aim of this research is to study the level of students’ constructing their own learning by using webquests through computer, smartphone and tablet which are the internet based information technologies. Webquests provides the construction of students’ own learning by studying internet sources collaboratively with peers. Webquests provides students to gain knowledge, abilities and higher-order thinking skills like critical thinking. Experimental and control grouped experimental design is used in this research. The experimental group has studied with webquest while the control group has studied recommended program. The achievement level of environmental education given to students is assessed by applying pre-test and post-test design. In this research, it is aimed that students comprehend and produce solutions to an environmental problem in Çayırhan District by the help of their environmental knowledge that they attained during educational process in inquiry based manner. The experimental (webquest program) group has got significantly higher scores studying through webquest than the control group studying through the recommended program. The post-test scores of experimental group is significantly higher than their pre-test scores. The post-test scores of the control group is significantly higher than the pre-test scores. In both of the experimental and control group, any significant difference in students’ achievement scores are not found with respect to the gender variable. While the achievement scores of the students growing in a city is significantly higher than the students grown a village in experimental group, no significant difference is found in control group with respect to variable of growing place.
