Abstract
United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) applies to contracts of sales of goods between parties whose places of business are in different states when the states are contracting states or when the rules of private international law lead to the application of law of a contracting state. This convection was signed in 1980 and came into force at 01.01.1988. Japan became a party to this convection in 2009 and Turkey in 2011.
In this study, regulations relating to warranty against defects according to United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), Turkish Code of Obligations and Japanese Civil Code will be examined and compared.
