Özet
Fashion designers, from the 19th century to the present day, where modern
fashion was born, were handled by many researchers as artists, many of them
argued that they were performing art by being influenced by artistic trends by
separating themselves from other fashioners. In this study, the historical
connection between art movements and fashion design was questioned.
In the first part of the thesis, the concept of fashion and the historical process of
the fashion are explained in brief. In the following, the concept of the wearable
art in the field of fashion design and the important developments in this area are
conveyed by talking about the interaction of fashion with art.
In the second part of the thesis, firstly the information about the concept of
fashion brand was given. Researches has been done by examined on how
industrialization of fashion brand has been made. In the following, conceptual
explanations of fashion and brand have been mentioned and the place and
importance of fashion brand management in marketing has been emphasized.
Lastly, it has been found out that how the world famous fashion brands
influenced the fashion world and how they were oriented.
In the fourth and last section, the applied art works were mentioned and
projects built from fashion illustrations were applied for a fashion week which
will be organized today based on the current of the surrealism from the modern
art movements. Banners, invitations and gift items are designed for promotional
activities.
