Abstract

This study was conducted with the former Gendarmerie Officers who worked in the Gendarmerie General Command and subsequently resigned for various reasons. This study is a qualitative research, using semi-structured interview technique.

In this study, interviewed ten former Gendarmerie Officers, six of them graduated from Kara Harp Okulu and four of them are contracted. Data from interviews; firstly, explained the reasons of alienation to work and institution of former Gendarmerie Officers. Secondly, the causes of resignation are determined and tried to understand that the resignation is caused by alienation.
