The study was conducted between December 15th, 2022, and March 15th, 2023, as a comparative descriptive study in order to examine the healthy living behaviours and affecting factors during pregnancy of immigrant and non-immigrant pregnant women. The population of the study was pregnant women who applied to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Clinics of Sincan Dr. Nafiz Körez State Hospital, and 60 immigrant and 75 non-immigrant pregnant women who applied to the Obstetrics Outpatient Clinics within the specified date range and met the inclusion criteria constituted the sample of the study. The data were collected through the "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher to determine the descriptive characteristics of the pregnant women and the "Healthy Living Behaviors Scale During Pregnancy" to evaluate healthy life behaviours. The data were analyzed with IBM SPSS 25 program and t-Test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests were used. According to the findings obtained, the median total score of migrant pregnant women was 102.00, while the median total score of non-migrant pregnant women was 111.00, indicating that the total score of healthy lifestyle behaviors during pregnancy is lower in migrant pregnant women compared to non-migrant pregnant women (p=0.003). When looked at in terms of sub-dimensions, it was found that the scores of migrant pregnant women in the "Pregnancy Responsibility", "Hygiene", and "Travel" sub-dimensions were lower than those of non-migrant pregnant women (p=0.001), while the scores of pregnant women in the "Nutrition", "Physical Activity", and "Acceptance of Pregnancy" sub-dimensions did not differ based on migrant status (p>0.05). In line with these results, since immigrant pregnant women have low scores on healthy life behaviors during pregnancy, it is recommended that all disciplines involved in providing services to immigrant pregnant women, especially nurses, evaluate pregnant women with the healthy life behaviors during pregnancy scale and plan initiatives to improve healthy life behaviors.
