İşin H. Investigation of The Relationship Between Intensive Care Patients' Perceptions of Nursing Care, Their Satisfaction, and Trust İn Nurses, Hacettepe University Graduate School of Health Sciences, Fundamentals of Nursing Programme, Master's Thesis, Ankara, 2024. This research was conducted as a descriptive and correlational study to examine the relationship between intensive care patients' perceptions of nursing care, their satisfaction and their trust in nurses. The sample was consisted of 195 conscious intensive care patients who stayed in units for at least three nights in a training and research hospital in Ankara. Data were collected between December 5, 2022 and March 30, 2023, using the Patient Descriptive Characteristics Form, Patients' Perception of Nursing Care Scale, Newcastle Nursing Care Satisfaction Scale and Trust in Nurses Scale. Data obtained in the research were transferred to IBM SPSS 26 program and analyzed. While evaluating the data, frequency distributions for categorical variables, descriptive statistics for numerical values, "Mann-Whitney U", "Kruskal-Wallis" and Bonferroni analysis were used. According to the results, intensive care patients' perceptions of nursing care, their satisfaction levels and their trust in nurses were found to be high. It was determined that there was a moderately positive and meaningful linear relationship between intensive care patients' perception of nursing care and their satisfaction level with nursing care, and a moderately positive and significant linear relationship between the trust score in nurses. In addition, there was a moderately positive and significant linear relationship between the satisfaction score of the patients and the score of trust in nurses. Since the research results reveal the relationship between the perception of nursing care and satisfaction and trust, it is advised to conduct further research that will include a larger sample group to examine the factors affecting the perception of nursing care and satisfaction level and to improve the perception of care positively.
