Özet
The September 12, 1980 millitary coup had a formative impact on press as it had on many areas. In this study, four newspapers (Hürriyet, Milliyet, Cumhuriyet, Tercüman) are selected to represent the Turkish National Press. The news about political parties and political leaders from September 12, 1980 to November 6, 1983 are investigated. It was framed from the perspective of news framing theory and analyzed with content analysis method. In this context, it is explained how the newspapers news about political parties and political leaders are issued and what kind of perception they present. Additionally, the impact of the military regime on these news and comments is discussed.
