KAYA, E., Determination of the Validity, Reliability and Sensitivity of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach Scale in Pregnant Individuals, Hacettepe University Graduate School of Health Sciences, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Program Master's Thesis, Ankara, 2023. This study was conducted to determine the validity, reliability and sensitivity of the Cognitive Exercise Therapy Approach (BETY) Scale in pregnant individuals. 150 individuals were included in the study. Short From-36 (SF-36), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and Pregnancy Sexual Response Inventory (PSRI) questionnaires were administered to the individuals included in the study to assess validity. As a result of the statistical analyses for validity, no ceiling-base effect was observed according to the responses given to the BETY Scale. There was a moderate correlation between the BETY Scale and SF-36 sub-parameters of role difficulty due to physical causes (r= -0.421), vitality (r= -0.515) and pain (r= -0.494). The test-retest method was used to assess reliability and 30 individuals were administered the BETY Scale again one week later. Intraclass reliability coefficient (ICC, 95% confidence interval) was calculated. According to Spearman's correlation analysis, a strong correlation was found between the two measurements (rho=0.941, p<0.001). The ICC coefficient (0.973, p<0.001) was also quite high. In addition, Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.841) was examined for internal consistency and it was found that the internal consistency of the scale was high. In order to determine the sensitivity of the scale, all scales were reapplied to 30 pregnant individuals after 3 months and the change was analyzed by Wilcoxon test. The changes in BETY scale, role difficulty due to physical causes, vitality and general health perception among SF-36 sub-parameters, and PSRI pregnancy period, STAI-I and STAI-II scores were statistically significant (p<0.05). This study concluded that the BETY Scale is a valid, reliable and sensitive assessment tool in pregnant individuals.
