Matematik Öğretmeni Adaylarının Artırılmış Gerçeklik Uygulamaları İçeren Ders Planı Hazırlama Deneyimleri
Özet
This research aimed to evaluate the lesson plans incorporating augmented reality applications and examine the opinions of prospective secondary school mathematics teachers regarding the use of augmented reality applications. Additionally, the study aimed to provide an example of using augmented reality applications in mathematics education and lesson plan preparation in teacher training. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach based on the case study design. The participants of the study consisted of 10 prospective mathematics teachers studying at a state university. The data were obtained through the lesson plans prepared by the teacher candidates and interview forms. Rubric and content analysis methods were used for data analysis. According to the research findings, it was determined that the lesson plans prepared by the teacher candidates mostly focused on the "Space Geometry" learning domain at the 10th and 11th grade levels. Moreover, Geogebra 3D was identified as the preferred augmented reality application in the lesson plans of all teacher candidates. It was observed that the teacher candidates mostly utilized augmented reality applications during the exploration and explanation stages. Through the interviews with the teacher candidates, it was expressed that they acquired new achievements through the use of augmented reality and expressed their intention to use this technology in the future. This research highlights the potential of augmented reality technology in mathematics education and provides recommendations for teacher candidates to effectively use this technology. In conclusion, it was concluded that there should be more emphasis on developing the integration of augmented reality applications into lesson plans and enhancing the competencies of teacher candidates to effectively utilize this technology in teacher training programs.
