Traditional management methodologies that can be summarized as safe, cumbersome, slow and costly have difficulty in keeping up with todays’ systems requiring to be flexible, agile, customer-oriented and open to change, and thus Agile-type methodologies are gaining in popularity with each passing day. Addressing the key success factors in Agile management approaches, this dissertation presents an assessment on applicability of Agile approaches in disaster management. In general, previous research has addressed to this topic in terms of conceptual framework. Most research studies utilizing fieldwork examine the topic either in the framework of single-institution or survey studies with low participant. A limited number of quantitative studies rely on percentage analysis. Utilizing a worldwide survey data of Agile users conducted in 2022, this study finds that the most important indicators of Agile success are customer satisfaction, productivity, improving product and software quality, and on-time delivery. Together with these parameters, Agile users’ satisfaction and the demographic characteristics of the respondents are other important indicators in determining Agile success. This study also finds that experienced Agile users have positive interaction with other Agile success indicators.
