The aim of this research is to examine the problems in the 7th grade Mathematics textbook prepared by the Ministry of National Education in the context of fostering creativity. Document analysis method was used to collect data. The problems in the MEB publications Mathematics textbook offered by the Educational Information Network (EBA) for 7th graders were examined. The obtained data were analyzed using the document analysis method. Data were summarized and interpreted according to predetermined themes and presented to the reader. Firstly, the book's holistic foster for creativity was examined. The basic book structure such as the presentation of the problems and the presentation of the solutions has been examined. Secondly the problems are examined the level of foster of mathematical creativity by the problems in the book. The DISCOVER Problem Matrix was used as a guide to analyze the structure of the problems. All problems were analyzed according to the DISCOVER Problem Matrix and classified under the relevant category. In this classification, it is possible to examine the problem in terms of whether it is multi-solvable, the difference in the solution ways of the problem, and the way the problem is structured. It has been determined that the problems in the learning areas in the examined textbook are generally at the level of problem types II-III, are not evenly distributed according to the DISCOVER Problem Matrix. The distribution in high-level problem types is either few or absent.
