Analyse écocritique de l'œuvre de Jean-Pierre Martinez, Après nous le déluge.

Abstract

In this study, our intention will be to highlight environmental problems and ecology, which is a topical subject, with the method of ecocriticism and through the work of Jean-Pierre Martinez entitled Après nous le déluge. Ecocriticism adopts an environmentalist approach and places nature at the center of its work. Thus, in this study we will use the work Après nous le déluge, an ecological tragicomedy from which we will aim to explain the relationship between literature and environment. The nature/culture dichotomy of Claude Lévi-Strauss's Wild Thought and Friedrich Nietzsche's The Birth of Tragedy will also be used to investigate how environmental issues are treated in this work and the meaning that they add to the work. We will also examine with Gérard Genette’s concepts of intertextuality, how intertextual references in the work add new meanings.
