It is important to understand the structure of ionosphere for modeling and monitoring the variability of the ionosphere. Therefore, the remote sensing and monitoring systems must be operated continuously. TEC is one of the most important parameters that defines the structure of ionosphere. In this thesis, TEC values, which obtained from TNPGN-Active which is distributed uniformly over Turkey and North Cyprus Turkish Republic, are used. Due to various physical or operational disturbances, GPS-TEC can be disrupted during the day, thus it is an important task to interpolate the missing TEC values. Ionosphere can be modeled using random fields due to their variability in space and time. The random field of TEC can be separated into a trend structure and a residual function. Consequently, near-real time automatical regional maps of TEC are obtained with high space and time resolution over Turkey, and the spatio-temporal behavior of TEC random field is investigated using SVD analysis.
