Abstract

Washing machine is obviously one of the indispensable elements of today s home life. It is also an important point for the consumers that the ratio of price performance of a washing machine is good. Producing a washing machine with a high price performance ratio in the current competitive market is a compelling factor for the manufacturers.This thesis consists of the studies that are conducted within SANTEZ (no. 01212. STZ.2012-1) project which was in collaboration with Arcelik A.S. C.M.I. R D. It firstly focuses on the control theory, later shows the results obtained from the experiments which were conducted by respectively analysing each sensor used within this project. The rest of the thesis deals with the auxiliary simulations which are used for the preliminary and detailed designs.A composite design was obtained by assembling pressure, temperature, conductivity and turbidity sensors which are still used in today s washing machine.
