Abstract
For military systems and daily used electronic devices to function, electromagnetic interference coming from outside must be minimized as much as possible and therefore electromagnetic compatibility is an important subject. In this thesis, shielding structures (aluminum) with different aperture shapes have been designed. The structures’ shielding effectivenesses were simulated in CST Microwave Studio and in the same conditions, shielding effectiveness of the structures with different aperture shapes were studied. In the next stage of this thesis, the shielding structures with an aperture or apertures were designed, separately and calculation of shielding effectiveness were performed for every designed structure by using transmission line model. After all of this work, the thickness of the aluminum rectangular prism shielding structure with a rectangular aperture was increased and put new design irises with different widths in necessary apertures of the shielding structures.
