The aim of this study is to determine the validity and reliability of the Community Integration Questionnaire-Revised (CIQ-R) scale in lower limb amputees. Lower limb amputees aged 18-65 years, who used prostheses for at least 6 months and volunteered to participate in the study, were included in the study. Adaptation of amputees to prosthesis was evaluated with the “Trinity Amputation and Prosthesis Experience Scale” (TAPES), their perception of physical appearance with the “Amputee Body Image Scale” (ABIS) and their community integration with CIQ-R. Correlation with TAPES and ABIS and confirmatory factor analysis were performed to determine the construct validity of the CIQ-R scale. The test-retest reliability of the CIQ-R scale was determined by the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) method. Internal consistency analysis was evaluated with chronbach α. 90 amputees were included in the study (mean age: 40.96±12.89 years; BMI: 25.55±5.5 kg/m2). CIQ-R scale was reapplied to 18 of the participants 1 week later. There was a moderate positive correlation between CIQ-R general score and TAPES general psychosocial adjustment sub-parameter (r=0.405, p<0.001); low-moderate level in the negative direction with the activity restriction parameter (r=-0.359, p<0.05). There was no statistically significant correlation between the CIQ-R general score and the satisfaction with the TAPES prosthesis sub-parameter and the ABIS scale (r=0.197, p=0.062, r=0.029 p=0.062, respectively). According to the confirmatory factor analysis results, the construct validity of CIQ-R was found to be acceptable. Intraclass correlation coefficient showing CIQ-R test-retest reliability was found at a good level (ICC=0.806). The internal consistency of the scale was found to be high (Cronbach's alpha=0.920). The results of this study showed that the CIQ-R scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool that can be used in the evaluation of community integration in amputees.
