Kolajen/Beta-Trikalsiyum Fosfat Bazlı Sentetik Kemik Greftlerinin Geliştirilmesi
Abstract
Millions of patients worldwide need bone injury treatments due to traffic accidents, sports injuries, daily injuries or genetic diseases. While originating traumas are fixated with appropriate implants, they are also supported by natural and synthetic bone grafts. The aim of this thesis is to prepare synthetic bone grafts that have high porosity and are also biocompatible and biodegradable which will improve bone growth. It was intended in this study for the prepared tissue scaffolds to become osteoconductive and osteoinductive, that can be supported with cells or growth factors, that are able to bend and twist when wetted with blood, and that are also hemostatic. According to these aims, in the first stage of the thesis, firstly, bovine collagen type-I and beta tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) mixture was prepared and porous structures were obtained via freeze drying.
