In the Turkish education system, with formal education at high school level, there are also open high schools. It is known that some of the disabled students prefer these high schools. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the items in the mathematics and English subtests of 1st term open education high school exams of the 2017-2018 academic year cause item bias according to the disability groups of disabled students. For this purpose, by analyzing items of the open education high school exam with Mantel-Haenszel (MH) methods based on classical test theory and SIBTEST methods based on item response theory, they are examined whether they include differential item functioning (DIF) or not. Analyzes are made on 20 items in each of the mathematics and English subtests besides the working group of the research are students with visually impaired and mental disabilities. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that a total of nine items at B and C levels in the mathematics and English subtests showed DIF. Field experts were consulted to determine whether the items showing DIF were biased or not. Experts expressed their opinion that one item in each of the mathematics and English subtests is biased. In addition, when the findings obtained as a result of the analyzes performed with the MH and SIBTEST methods are examined; In both methods, it was observed that the items which showing DIF were mostly the same and these items worked for or against the same subgroup. This proves that the methods yield consistent results with each other.
