There are a few researches about Kazakhs living in Mongolia and their language. It is important in the context of Turcology, to investigate the history of these communities, their migration to Mongolia, their language and their culture based on nomadic lifestyle. In the regions where Mongolian Kazakhs are scattered and a minority, the Mongolian language is being adopted and is replacing Kazakh as communication language and mother tongue.
It is important to examine the influence of Mongolian on the Kazakh language spoken in Mongolia and the elements that separate it from the General Kazakh language. As the language of minority group, it should be investigated in the socio-linguistic aspects of a language in danger.
In this dissertation the influence of Mongolian on Kazakh language will be discussed in terms of language policy, linguistic human rights, intergenerational transmission of language, along with issues such as bilingualism, language shifting and language changes caused by the dominance of Mongolian language.
