Traditional treatment approach for severly damaged endodontically treated teeth, is post-core and crown restorations. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the success of endocrown restorations in endodontically treated teeth with clinical study. For this purpose, following the approval of Hacettepe University Clinical Studies Ethics Committe, 40 teeth in 34 participant who required a crown and endocrown(restoration) for first and/or second molar randomly assigned to 2 groups: post core supported full porcelain crown and endocrown (n=20/group). After the restorations in each group have been produced in the same CAD/CAM device following same indirect method, they were cemented with resin cement. In the evaluation, it was determined that there are two mass fractured and one desimantation in the crown restorations, one mass fractured and one desimantation in the endocrown restorations. No significant difference was found between the restoration types in terms of survival rates after one year. The values of periodontal pockets, plaque index, ginigval index, were measured before the restoration treatment and in final control appointments and the data were statistically compared. Gingival index and periodontal pockets score is the only parameter that showed statistically significantly lower values for both groups (p <0.05). At the last control, patient satisfaction was evaluated in terms of aesthetics and function using the Likert scale method. Patients scored 4.3 for aesthetics and 4.7 for function. After one year, both types of restorations demonstrated clinically acceptable performance.
