Özet
Epistemologically, philosophy of technology is among the new branches of science, and Martin Heidegger is considered as one of the founders of this field of study. Heidegger has become crucial in the field of questioning technology by handling existence by using hermeneutical-phenomenological methodology. Heidegger has valued technology in order to find the truth and towards the truth like development and emergence.Drawing upon ideas of Aristotle, Heidegger examines the symbol of potentiality reflecting the possibility of becoming actual. In this condition, he enters the question that whether technology might be regarded as a matter of survival or not.Heidegger provided a fundamental criticism against objectivity based and Cartesian understanding of science.
