The tradition of gift giving is a form of behavior and habit peculiar to humans that has been going on since the early ages. This habit has been going on since the past, even at birth, weddings, holidays, special days and even death. In the current era, new special days have been added rapidly, and the "gift culture", which has become widespread with advanced technology and communication tools, has turned into a large sector worldwide.
As a result of mechanization, important financial concerns arise in the giftware sector, as in many other areas. Design features that should be kept at the forefront in souvenirs have not been ignored. New developments in the world, intercultural relations, rapid communication and many other reasons, it is very important that the designed products fulfill their practical, symbolic and aesthetic functions in the gift sector. In this study, which responds to the needs of the age in ceramic souvenirs and is expected to set an example in the production of healthy, useful, aesthetic and permanent products, it has been tried to develop designs that are suitable for established design knowledge, social and social data, ceramic products and production techniques. The discovery of the potter's wheel, which coincides with the invention of the wheel at about the same dates, provided the production of pottery in a more rapid and easy manner, as well as contributing to the development of ceramic products. With the development of cooking and glaze techniques, more qualified and robust products were obtained.
With the research named "Original Practices Regarding Contemporary Gift Design Produced by the Potter's Wheel", taking into account the form, aesthetics and form rules in the ceramic designs, the works of contemporary ceramic artists working in this context have been researched and with traditional pottery wheel and horse-themed designs. Distinctive, terra cotta and glazed unique ceramic forms cooked in an electric oven were produced.
