Menkul Kıymet Yatırımcılarının Demografik Özelliklerinin İncelenmesi: Türkiye Üzerinde Bir Uygulama
Abstract
Globalization, movements in the investment market, developments in the field of knowledge and technology and beginning with the application of Basel II regulations in the banking sector, are changing the amount of the risk that investors are exposed to, even finding out new sort of risks. The concept of behavioral finance which gathers speed recently differed from traditional finance theories in terms of its assumptions by revealing that cognitive, psychological, demographic and socio-economic characteristics, have considerably influenced the risk conception and risk attitude of the people. In this study, by using the data of Income and Living Conditions Survey from year 2009 to 2012 that were provided from TSI, an application was conducted relevant to individual investors in Turkey. As a result of the statistical findings that were obtained by applying logistic regression method, a model was developed for Turkey.
